The Unsubscribe Link
AffiliatePro automatically adds an unsubscribe link at the bottom of all emails sent to your affiliates and users. No extra setup is needed for the link to appear.
Where to Configure Email Settings
- Log in to your admin panel.
- In the top horizontal menu, click Settings (the gear icon).
- In the dropdown, click Email Templates.
- On the Mail Templates page, expand the Email Settings card at the top (click the card header to show the footer, logo, and unsubscribe page options).
Inside Email Settings you will see:
- Footer Text — Custom text shown at the bottom of all emails (e.g. your site name, support contact).
- Header Logo — Logo displayed at the top of emails.
- Unsubscribed Page Title & Message — Text shown on the confirmation page after someone clicks unsubscribe.
- Test Unsubscribe — Enter an email to generate a test unsubscribe URL.
How the Unsubscribe Link Works
The unsubscribe link is generated automatically for each recipient. The format is:
https://your-site.com/unsubscribe/[base64-encoded-email]
When a user clicks it:
- Their email is added to the unsubscribed list.
- They see the Unsubscribed Page with the title and message you configured.
- They will not receive further notification emails (unless they re-enable it from their profile).
Where the Link Appears
The link appears in the blue footer area at the bottom of every email, below your custom footer text. It uses the label Unsubscribe and is visible on all standard notification emails (registration, password reset, payouts, etc.).
Testing the Unsubscribe Link
- Go to Settings → Email Templates.
- Expand the Email Settings card.
- In the Test Unsubscribe section, enter an email address.
- Click the link icon to generate the unsubscribe URL.
- Copy the link and open it in a browser to test.
Managing Unsubscribed Emails
From the Mail Templates page, you can:
- View & manage opt-outs — Opens the Unsubscribe List where you can see all unsubscribed emails.
- Subscriber List — View and manage subscribed users.
