Auto Products Update – keep prices and stock in sync

What is Auto Products Update?

Auto Products Update lets the plugin automatically refresh your WooCommerce products with the latest data from Amazon on a scheduled basis. You choose which fields to update (price, stock, title, images, variants, reviews, etc.) and the plugin does the rest via the WordPress cron system.

How to get there

  1. In the plugin top menu, click Settings.
  2. In the dropdown, click Auto Products Update.

The page opens with two columns: Automation Settings (left) and the Product Update Console (right).

Server cron command

At the top of the Automation Settings column you see a ready-to-copy server cron command. For the most reliable scheduling, paste this into your server’s crontab to run every minute. This ensures WordPress cron fires on time even if your site has low traffic.

Click the copy icon next to the command field to copy it, then add it to your server cron. Click the info icon next to it for a step-by-step setup guide.

If you prefer a WordPress-based approach, use a plugin such as WP Crontrol and enable the WordPress cron option in Settings → Configuration → Automation.

Choosing what to update

Under Update Options, there is an accordion with four groups. Toggle on only the fields you want to keep updated. Each toggle is independent.

Basic Info

  • Product Name — Update product titles automatically.
  • Product Price — Keep prices synchronized with Amazon (most important to enable).
  • Product SKU — Update product SKU codes (Amazon ASIN).

Content & Media

  • Product Description — Update product descriptions from Amazon. Note: if AI Content has rewritten a description, it will not be overwritten.
  • Product Image — Sync product images with Amazon.
  • Product Category — Update product categories automatically.

Variants

  • Product Variants — Update product variations and options.
  • Product Variant Image — Sync variant images with Amazon.
  • Product Variant Description — Update variant descriptions automatically.

Status & Reviews

  • Product Out Of Stock — Monitor and update stock status. Enables the plugin to mark products as out of stock or remove them when Amazon reports unavailability.
  • Product Review — Sync product reviews from Amazon.

Save settings

After choosing your options, click Save Automation Settings at the bottom of the left column.

View Status

Click View Status in the header of the Automation Settings card to see a summary of how many update options are currently active, how many are inactive, and the overall coverage percentage.

Product Update Console (right column)

The right column shows the Product Update Console. This displays all imported products and lets you monitor and manually trigger updates. Use it to run an update now without waiting for the cron schedule, or to check which products were last updated and their status.

Auto Products Update uses proxy services (ScraperAPI, ScrapingAnt, Decodo, Scrape.do, or ScrapingBee) for products imported without the API. Make sure at least 2 proxy services are enabled under Settings → Configuration → Proxy, otherwise updates for those products will fail.

Start with Product Price and Product Out Of Stock as the minimum recommended toggles — these keep the most critical product data accurate for your customers.
