Why proxy services are required
When you use Import by URL, Import by Search, Amazon Bestsellers, or Auto Products Update (for products imported without the API), the plugin fetches data from Amazon by scraping. Amazon may block direct requests, so the plugin routes them through proxy services. With at least 2 proxy services enabled, import and update success is close to 95%.
How to get to the Proxy settings
- In the plugin top menu, click Settings.
- In the dropdown, click Configuration.
- At the top of the page, click the Proxy badge (or scroll down to the Proxy Service Configuration section).
The 5 supported proxy services
Each service has its own card. Each card has the same controls:
- Enable toggle (top-right of card header) — turn the service on or off.
- API Key / Token field — paste your key from the service dashboard.
- Test button — verifies the key works before saving.
- Import Products toggle — use this service during imports.
- Update Products toggle — use this service during auto-updates.
- Priority (1–5 buttons) — lower number = used first. Set different priorities so the plugin tries your best/fastest service first and falls back to others.
- API Usage bar — shows your current credit/request usage if a key is saved.
- Get Started / Create account link — opens the service signup page.
ScraperAPI
Free plan: 1,000 API credits/month. Sign up at scraperapi.com. Copy your API key from the dashboard and paste it into the ScraperAPI card in the plugin. Enable both Import Products and Update Products toggles. Recommended Priority: 1 (first to try).
ScrapingAnt
Free plan: 10,000 API credits/month (generous free tier). Sign up at scrapingant.com. Copy your API key. Recommended Priority: 2.
Decodo
Free trial available. Sign up at the Decodo website. Copy your API key. Recommended Priority: 3.
Scrape.do
Free plan available. Sign up at scrape.do. This service uses a Token (not a standard API key) — paste it in the Token field of the card. Recommended Priority: 4.
ScrapingBee
Free plan: 1,000 API credits (one-time on signup). Sign up at the ScrapingBee website. Copy your API key. Recommended Priority: 5 (last fallback).
Recommended minimum setup
Enable at least ScrapingAnt (10,000 free credits) and ScraperAPI (1,000 free credits). Set their priorities to 1 and 2. Turn on both Import Products and Update Products toggles on each, then save settings.
How fallback works
The plugin tries proxy services in order of priority. If the service at priority 1 fails or returns an error, it automatically tries priority 2, then 3, and so on. Services that are enabled appear in the active chain; disabled ones are shown as Standby. Each card header shows Runs as #1, #2, etc. or Standby to indicate its position in the current chain.
After saving
After clicking Save Settings, the proxy cards refresh and show each service’s current status in the chain. Use the Test button on each card to confirm the key is valid before running imports.
