What Is a Program?
A Program is the affiliate offer that a vendor creates. It defines what affiliates are promoting, what commission they earn per sale or click, and where traffic is directed. Affiliates join programs and use tracking links to promote them.
Each vendor can create one or more programs. Each program is reviewed and must be approved by the Admin before affiliates can see and join it.
To create a program, the user must already have Vendor Status on their account — either granted by the Admin, or obtained via the Vendor registration tab. See How to Make Someone a Vendor for details.
Step-by-Step: Creating a Program
- Log in to the user panel.
- In the top navigation bar, click MarketTools to open the dropdown menu.
- Under the Campaigns section, click Programs.
- The Programs page opens and shows all your existing programs. If you have none yet, it will show an empty state.
- Click the Add New button in the top-right corner of the page.
- The program creation form opens. Fill in the following:
- Program Name — enter a clear name for your affiliate program (e.g. “Summer Sale Promotion”).
- The form also shows the Admin Commission section — this is read-only and shows what the Admin earns from this program (click and/or sale fees). These are set by the Admin in the SaaS settings and cannot be changed by the vendor.
- When you are ready, click the Save button at the bottom of the form.
What Happens After You Submit
After saving, the program is created with the status In Review. This means:
- The Admin will receive a notification to review the program.
- The program is not visible to affiliates while it is in review.
- Once the Admin sets the status to Approved, affiliates can see the program, join it, and get their tracking links.
Do not expect affiliates to start promoting immediately after you create a program. The program must be approved by the Admin first. This step can be instant or take some time depending on the admin’s workflow.
After Approval
Once the Admin approves your program:
- The program status changes to Approved in your Programs list.
- Affiliates can now see your program in their Programs list.
- Affiliates can get their unique tracking link for your program and start promoting.
- Any sales made through affiliate tracking links will be tracked and commissions will be applied automatically.
After your program is approved, the next step is to create Campaigns (banners, text links, and other creative assets) that affiliates can use to promote your program. See How a Vendor Creates Campaigns and Banners for details.
