MLM Commissions in Store Module
Overview
The Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) module in your local store module allows you to establish commission structures for your affiliates. This guide explains how to configure these settings and understand the commission payout process.
Navigation
To access the MLM settings, navigate to:
- Admin Panel > Left Menu > MLM > MLM Levels
Configuring Commission Levels
Within the MLM Levels
section, you can define custom Cost Per Sale (CPS) rates. These rates can be set as either a percentage (%) or a fixed amount. Based on these settings, commissions are calculated as a proportion or a fixed sum of the total sale amount.
Example
Suppose you configure two commission levels as follows:
- Level 0: 35% Commission
- Level 1: 30% Commission
- Level 2: 20% Commission
If an affiliate at Level 0 (referred to as aff3 - level 0
) generates a sale of $350, commissions would be allocated as:
- Level 0: Receives 35% of $350, equal to $122.50
- Level 1: Receives 30% of $350, equal to $105
- Level 2: Receives 20% of $350, equal to $70
Note: Level 0 commission settings can be configured under “Product Sale Commission” or as the “Default Sale Commission” in your store settings.
Commission Status and Workflow
Commissions are recorded in the affiliate and admin wallets and can have one of two statuses: On-hold
or In-wallet
.
Commission Status
- On hold: The commission is not available for withdrawal.
- In-wallet: The commission is available for withdrawal.
Commission Availability Based on Payment Status
- If the payment status for an order is
Complete
, the commission status changes toIn-wallet
, enabling the affiliate to request a withdrawal. - If the payment status is not
Complete
, the commission remainsOn-hold
, and withdrawal is not possible until the admin updates the order status toComplete
.
By following these instructions, you can successfully set up and manage MLM commissions within your local store module.
